It is me or are the new bridges in the online catalog different from my '02's bridge??
If it is different, is there are marked improvement in the whole design overall? How does it affect sound, sustain and all that jazz ? hehe

I'm slowly getting black hardware for my baby, so just wondering if I should hunt for a older Bridge or consider the new bridge.
Got black tuners on the way, just need knobs and a bridge now. (then my Squier gets a makeover woohoo! hehe)
 
What makes you think they are different? To me they look the same as the bridge on my '08 and '94 basses.
 
I think I just realised the bridge sits in a recess lol.....cos it looked thicker in the shop pic, i looked at mine closer...man I'm dense haahaahh...

i wanna get a black bridge later...i hope they're easily replaceable

Ahh - that explains it! Yes, they are easy to replace - a couple of screws and a few hex nuts and you're done.
 
Cool, good to know it's easy.

Doesn't the intonation and all that need to be readjusted when replacing a bridge?
 
For sure but on a Warwick that's also pretty easy.
 
well..thats the thing...i never set up the current bridge, i got mine used
 
Even if you haven't touched the current bridge, start by setting the new one up in the same way, and you may find that you don't need to change anything.
 
While removing old bridge don't touch the hex screws in the corners. Only two screws on the short sides keep the upper piece in it's place.Once you remove the upper piece this way you will be able to copy the whole setup to your new bridge.
