Bolt On Infinity Painted Holes????????

Hehe I kind of agree. It's daft that two of the knobs are actually ON the other F-hole. But I gotta admit it pretty much suits Bootsy's daft image :P

I thought that just the second I saw they were painted. On the other hand, Siderocks nailed it, those fake f-holes suits Bootsy´s image. :)

I don't really like the painted f-holes, but the flames would look silly without them!

Really? Wow Thats just silly. And is it really an infinity if it's not a hollow body? I mean come on.

The "photo finish" you can find on the Korean TM Stevens and Bootsy look cheap, if you ask me.

they should of made a pro version of this. not just a bootsy one. i always liked the infin bass. the bootsy bass is to tacky for me. jmo

I suppose one has to see them for real :-)

I did not intend to open a' bashing the Artist Series' kind of thread:-)

This was just to let's say give a hint to change this.

E.g. the Thumb SC was changed afterwards as well

I agree - it's Bootsy. I mean the guy says "if it ain't broke, don't break it". Putting f-holes down the fingerboard would suit his image! But I agree - an Artist Infinity would be nice, but I can imagine the logistics of the maple top being difficult. But why not a AA flame maple top with a mahogany back? That would be feasible, price wise.

But +111111 on the Thumb SC comment. I mean they're probably not flying off the shelves at that price as basses in that bracket rarely do, but I can't imagine people wanting that one jab of flamed maple inexplicably placed along the upper bout.

I dont mind Bootsy and his funk image, kinda cool IMO...
but if i ever have the chance to own an Infinity, just gimme the birdseye maple
