Since I'm asking alot of questions lately, here's another:
My Corvette 5 is contoured where the forearm meets it in the playing position. It's very comfortable. On my Corvette Jazzman, it is not. Why did Warwick not do this on the more expensive bass? The only reason I can think of is the maple top, but it could have still been done.
 
Erm, I think the Corvette Std. is the only Corvette model that actually has this feature. You should be asking yourself "Why did they contour my Corvette Std.?". I really don't know.

I think it's something that is mostly featured on basses used for Jazz such as The Fender P and J basses. The Corvette Std. is a pretty jazzy bass => it's contoured.

But of course, this is only my opinion.
 
I had never considered the contouring where the playing forearm is on my Corvettes... it's contoured on the 96 Vette Std, but it's not contoured on my 95 Std. They must have started that when they switched from making them by hand to making them on CNC.

My 95 Proline and 98 FNA are both without the contour. My 00 FNA Jazzman has it though.
