Can anyone tell me what the input impedance of the Blue Cab series of amps (BC15, 20, 60) is? I can't find it stated in the manual, only the input sensitivity.
I don't totally understand your post - I'm not an expert on input impedance... I'm trying to understand it as I research. The reason why I ask the question is that they recommend that instruments using only a piezo pickup (such as an NXT EUB) should use an amp with a minimum of 1Meg Ohm input impedance or an impedance mismatch will result, and the instrument will sound very thin.
From what I've read, bass amplfiers designed for use with magnetic pickups usually have an input impedance in the order of 500-600k ohms.
Do the BC15 and BC60 have an input impedance of 150k ohms and 100/130k ohms respectively? If that's the case I'm guessing they won't work well at all with an EUB using piezo pickups. Do you know if this is the case?
