blue cab 30 + v-amp pro = dont do ?

Hi,

i bought me a blue cab 30 about some weeks ago, and im pretty satisfied with it.
Now im thinking about getting some effect device and stumbled upon the v-amp pro.

Im quite the technical noob so i have some questions i hope you can help mw with. ;-)

If i got it right, the v-amp pro is a preamp.
So can i use it with my blue cab combo amp, or can you only use those small effect devices for combo amps?

To put it another way, can i only use the v-amp pro by connecting it to a speaker box , not a combo amp? Would it kill my blue cab 30?


Now I hope that wasn't too confusing...

the v-amp pro is pretty much just an effects unit so just stick it in the blue cab's effects loop and off you go...
