Hi , It is the first time that I play Warwick strings....I love the sound...but they are hard on my fingers.....

Does the EMP have the same sound & feel a little better under my fingers?
What about the DR Black Beauties?

Any opinions?

Black Beauties are easier on the fingers but I don't like the tone...

I'd say EMP strings sound the same as the Black Label strings. I've noticed little smoothness difference between the two, but many people say that the EMP strings are smoother. In my opinion, DR Highbeams are smoother.

Thanks ,

I know the HighBeams , Nuy I want to go for a coated strings....On My BTB bass I have Elixir & they last for long time.
But...I want to have something different on my Thumb DirtyBlonde Bass...I like the way that the Black Lable sounds on this bass....& I dont want to change the setups again..... I think I'll try the EMP , set up should be the same right?
or the strings are very different on the bridge?

Although the strings are the same, with the difference being the coating on the EMP strings, it is possible that you have a slight difference in intonation properties. You may need to adjust some settings slightly, but it should be a lot less work than changing to different brand of strings.

Yes, EMP's are smoother. I am using EMP's only and I am very happy with them. They are not as smooth as Elixirs, but in time you'll start to like that harsh feeling.

I say if you like the sound stick to it - I have no problems with my Black Labels being hard on the fingers - I rather like the feel of theses stock strings but may try EMP's to say I've tested them - However I like to be able to feel my strings

In anyway I'd change to coated strings because I dont like the way that the "normal" strings sound after 2 weeks of playing....
What are the characteristic sound of the EMP compare to the Black Beauties ?
