It looks just like a whole lotta MM's, cuz it's the classic swamp ash SR4
with black PG. Got 2 like that right now, and my departed '78 Sabre was
the same. It's a familiar icon of Bassdom.
I've brought a lotta different basses to a lotta jams, but only when I'd
unbag [unsheath??] the ash & black SR4 would the geetards fall silent,
shuffle around, and mutter that I get to call the next tune ;-)
Even the buyer of my battered '78, who is far younger than the bass
itself, admitted that appearance played a big part in his wanting it. An
ash & black MM says, "I'm here to play. Count it off."
