Hi guys, dropped off the radar for the past year or so, but I'm still around.

Hope you're all well.

I've been busy recording and mixing the new 300ft Gorilla album which should be finished in a couple of months. Just starting to get the final mixes together now. All 3 of my Warwicks feature and the new fretless sounds incredible.

Also been working on my label Bassoctopus Records to coincide with the album release. If anyone wants to join us check out my almost finished site at www.bassoctopus.com

I've also started a masters degree in music tech with the goal of becoming a working/teaching musician in a few years.

And I've started really getting serious about my playing. 2-3 hours a day practice and it's all on fretless so I'm finally getting the hang of it :)

One last thing, check out Doug Pinnick's new project. It sounds amazing https://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=W2k...i=/watch?v=W2khOu-d014&feature=youtu.be&gl=GB

I'll try and keep an eye on things on here more :)

Some great music in this thread.

So what's the news. Who's got a tasty new customer shop for us to drool over?

My Corvette NT Ltd 2010 fretless is an awesome sounding instrument now I can play it. Sounds great recorded

Welcome back, Neil, I am so happy to see you again! Your music is missed here :-) I listened to the Warwick Forum compilation the other days, we should do it again :-)

We haven't played live since our singer Hutch left. We got a new singer in 2010 (who also sings in our covers band Dogman.) So we've been gigging the covers while we write and record the album. The other problem was that our drummer has suffered some arm tendon issues so he has resigned from Dogman and is just about ready to start playing again with 300ft. He's been out of action for about 18 months - poor guy.

So not yet but the album is not far away now. We're all going away on a band holiday for a week to get gig ready at the end of March and then we'll be back gigging with new material :D Can't wait. As much fun as the covers are, there's nothing like playing your own stuff.

Good idea on the compilation. I'll pick that up once I finish mixing the 300ft album.

Tendonitis - I had it that bad in my right shoulder I couldn't even lift my arm anymore and I still do feel it start hurting sometimes. I've been doing exercises for two years now of which the first year with the help of a physotherapist. You go through several stages of anger, pain and panic about your ever playing music again I can tell you that much... So welcome your drummer back with open arms he's been through a rough patch!

He's been battling it for 5 years. He recorded the album 8 months ago in a day and then hung up his drumsticks until the arms were completely recovered. Had our first band session using an electric kit the other day so he could ease into it. Hopefully he's not far away from playing a full kit again now.
