Even I love my Blue Cab 60.1 really much and it's served me better than I first expected, it's time for me to upgrade to a little more powerful combo.

The new BC combos are hitting the stores within a month or so and 150 would be ideal for me. Just a one question ! I looked pics of this combo and there seems to be two different models. They have a whole different front panels on them:

Bass, Low mid, High mid, Treble, Volume, Aux volume

Gain, Bass, Sweepable mid, Treble, Compression, Volume


Now what is this all about, is there is there something with one of those pics or is one of them a prototype or what ?
 
I don't know but the second pic would by my fave. Sweepable mid is gold.
 
... just had a look at Warwick's website. It looks like the second one is the production model.

Looks like a very nice amp.

If it had a DI out it would be perfect for me right now.
 
Yes, the 2nd one is the production model. I had the chance to test them at Frankfurt, they are pretty nice amps for their money :-)
 
Thanks! It's great to hear that it's the one with sweepable mid :-)
But what is that other model then ? It's a little confusing that there is a picture of that and specification list seems to fit that other model too as it says nothing about gain control and adjustable compressor and it states it has 4 Way EQ with controls for bass, depp mid, high mid and treble just like on that picture.

Maybe it should be fixed if the information is wrong ?

Glad to hear you like your new amp Kisu - Just wish I could get my hands on one too.

Warwick, Any idea when we can expect to see the new BC range (20-300) land here in the UK?

Hey woody...I usually do say much here at the forum but I can say one thing to you.
I can see that you like high quality gear (or high prized gear) but whats the point of having for ex a RME FF UFX when you can buy a prism orpheus AI or a apogee symphony system that cost a lot more. (they must be better)
The thing is some people can get a better sound ( or performance) with cheaper gear the some people get with their expensive gear.

Hey Kisu, I was just taking a look at this amp at Thomann´s because I´m thinking about getting a combo for jam sessions and small bar gigs, and since you have one I do want to know your feelings and thoughts about it: sound, power (does it runs at 8 or 4 Ohm), portability, etc.

Yes, I am here fro time to time but I'm also enjoying last days of my holiday in thailand 8:
Finally a post regarding the actual subject haha :d I love the sound, it's much clearer than the blue cab 60, and also has a bigger punch in the sound. I don't remember the ohm things right now but I believe it's 150 watts for 8 ohms. The sound is somewhat quiet when I plug my bass in active connection but in passive it is a killer ! And the blue led looks awesome. I haven't had a possibility to play it in rehearsals yet but it's easy to carry on and fits nicely in my car. I have been very pleased with this combo, it's great for the money ! One thing I love the most in this comb is that it doesn't get boomy at all even at the high volume or with bass boosted, in fact, the bass boost make it sound even better !
Oh and it smells good

And the smell is very important, nothing worst than a bad smelling piece of gear at home. :)

Did you ever get to play on the old 150watt combo and, if so, how does this new one compare? I'm loving my little BC 60.1 (old one at the time of the changeover to the 60.1) but I know it isn't going to cut it when I start playing out. I'm also thinking about the BC300 as well but will want to play on them first (so potentially waiting another year plus for them to get down to my area).

I´m almost decided, Thomann.de have them in stock for 379€, although, I would like to try them first, along with other combos, basicaly, because I can´t buy it yet. If I had the money, the amp would be at home as I write this lines. 8:
