Hey all,

I just sneezed and got a little bit of noise out of my acoustic guitar, which is about 2 metres away from me lol.

ANYWAYS

It looks like our temporary house in sunny Bournemouth is going to be a little less temporary than orginally planned so I'm redecorating my room in a couple of weeks time and I want to get some wall hangings for my basses. Has anybody found any particularly good / bad wall hangers? At the moment I'm looking at the Hercules and the Warwick wall hangers, leaning more towards the hercules.

Cheers guys!

I´ve used RockStand (Warwick) wall hangers before, they are very good and safe, IMHO.

They're all good. As long as they hang the bass out far enough that it doesnt rest up against the wall.

I am using Warwick wall hangers both in my shop and in my house. They are good and safe

I just ordered some string swings from Amazon... will report when they arrive.

:d

I read some negative comments about the Warwick hangers, but I bought one anyway and it's been absolutely fine.

We have used these at our rehearsal place for year now and they seem to be great: . Got a nice automatic locking mechanism also. Both me and our guitarist would recommend them. We drink a lot and are yet to break them!

Whatever you do, DON'T hang an acoustic guitar on the back of an outside wall.

AFAIK there really isn't much of a difference between them. Just make sure you drill into a stud or that your drywall anchors are solid.

cool cheers guys! There doesn't seem to be much difference in price and i like the automatic locking on the hercules so i think I will go with them. I'm guna be redecorating / destroying my room in a few weeks time so will take some pics when all is done!!! It'll either be a Changing Room's style masterpiece or a bosnian bomb site by the time I'm finished!!

+1.
Remember Kyle? (papaerbag123).
He screwed his wall hanger into the drywall & his bass came crashing down. That was after he'd waxed it relentlessly. ( coloured oil)

This would be the one post I see after months of not being here.

....

you're on my list greg :D

Haaaa! Good to have you back, kyle buddy!

What happened, what is new?

Using a Hercules and it is great. I like how it traps the bass when you hang it up, so it can't get knocked off.
