Bass nirvana - search is over

Over the past 2 years I went through over 40 different basses to find 2 perfect basses. My wife said I'm only allowed 2 basses so the search went on.
First I stumbled on my ssii. Keeper! Search went on for my 2nd and I wanted a 5 string fretless.




Just bought this on eBay tonight and I think as long as the bass has no neck issues and sets up well with low action, my search will be done. I love the tone of $$ but will the fretless $$ be it? Can't wait til I get it. I think my search is finally over
 
your wife determines the number of basses you own?? ;-)
 
I think it is easy for a man to be the King in his house. Letting his wife to take this kind of decision is something nice and generous of him. Especially if he does not collect Squiers, but Warwicks :-)
 
Nice bass! I'm certainly very happy with my fretless $$ and I'm sure you will be with yours. And that's a great price for a fantastic bass!
 
Yea that is a nice bass, But I don't see why you let your wife tell you that you can olnly have two basses?!?

Well she let me have 3 at a time before but honestly I never played the other 2. Just my stage ii. It's about being responsible I guess. I can have 2 but she can't say anything about how much I spend =)
 
just one question. I used to own a corvette $$ 5 string bolt on and the pickups look very different. The NT is not completely retangular.
 
oh and is the fretboard ebony? I cant find information on the nt fretless on warwicks site

We are switching to rectangular ones now, still using both.

Sure, it is tigerstripe ebony for all fretless Warwick basses.
 
I think if I were you I'd drop the wife to the pawn shop and buy meself a nice collection of Wicks ;)
 
Congrats, that NT $$ looks awesome.

I have a deal with my girlfriend, I don´t remind her everytime how much I hate that she smokes, and how much she spends on cigarrettes, and she doesn´t reminds me how much she hates that I spend money in musical instruments. ;)

When the day she quits smoking come, well, I´ll have to stop spending all that I want in basses. But at least she will be healthier. :)
 
Beautiful bass! WOW what a great price. These German W's are going to be great investments. I'm definitely gonna snatch up another one.
 
he had it listed for $1400 plus shipping. First time around he listed, no one bit and he had to relist it. I thought, hey, ill try giving him an email to see if hell go cheaper. Got an email back from the seller and he said $1250shipped usps so I said lets do it and he changed the price for me =)
He really doesnt know much about the bass and I guess he took the average corvette $$ prices on ebay

I have four instruments just now (3 x guitar and 1 x bass) - more negotiations required me thinks on the marital front, although my wife is threatening to spend a fortune on a new kitchen which unfortunately depletes by CS LX fund :((
