Bartolini MV5 serie on 5 strings Corvette $$

Hi guys!
Anyone ever tested Mv5 MM Bart's pickups on a defretted Corvette$$?
I'm not happy with the tone of my two MECs, cannot get a good, long and clean mwaaaaaah out of them, bogus...
I'm looking for a good direct fit solution, any idea or comments on similar experience

Which Bart's model have you tried? Were they direct fit in? Have you also changed the preamp or sticked with the MEC?

I always recommend the brightest of them which are still dark, I don't remember the model. They were a direct fit, yes. The preamp stayed MEC.
