Well, after being Warwick-less for about 6 months, I just purchased another one... and not the least ! A Vampyre just took her place home and I really like this one.

Extremely tight strings make for precise pitch at every tuning, and the pickup configuration is quite versatile (J+ splittable TJ, 3 band eq).

I'm very surprised by the tone, witch is very good but not as trademark Warwick as I'd have though. Less growl but more focus and piano-like clarity.

It truly is no one-trick pony, nor a metal-only bass.

Nice demo! What type of strings are you using? More specifically on the sharp tuning part.
 
The soundclip in F is played with Ernie Ball Slinky strings (nickel plated), gauge was 85-60-40-30. On the other ones I use :
- DR DDT - 130-105-85-65 (for BEAD, a bit to tight)
- EB Slinky - 100-80-65-45 (for EADG)
- EB Slinky - 105-80-65-45 (for DADG)

I used my Zoom B2.1u as my USB soundcard and rythm box (it's in bypass/tuner mode, no effect at all) and the recording is done with Audacity. Very, very cheap setup :-)
