So, I'm back.

I know most havn't even noticed I had left...

Basically I was in the hopspital due to hemmoraging coughs. Not good stuff. I didn't say anything because I was worried about you guys worrying about me... lol. For those who "dealt with me" during my stay, you were more than likely dealing with my better half, Nicole. If she hadn't said so, than maybe it was someone who loggied into my account.

Anyway, I'm back. So let's discuss something... something Warwick perhaps?

I recently traded my 5 string ss2 for a 4 string ss2 early era. 1990.

Super nice bass, what with the wenge wood neck and all. Pics lat-o.

I personally prefer the 5 strings as most would know had they read my post in a previous thread. So if anyone has a 5 stringer in the same model, not necessarily the same year as long as it's early enough to have wenge neck and brass nut, shoot me an email or pm.

I don't get it though - you traded an SSII 5 string for an SSII 4 string, and now you want to trade for another fiver?
 
Well yeah, I am a fan of the older ss2's with the older neck/ nut, plus I promised a forumer I'd do the trade but now I STILL want the vintage ss2 but in a 5er. Also I think I used a poor choice of words earlier. My coughs weren't hemorrhaging, but my insides were, leading to a bleeding cough.
 
glad to have you back mate. so you liked the tone of the vintage one 4 er and now yo want to trade the vintage 4 for a vintage 5 right?

is there really that much of a noticeable difference between an old SS2 from the new one?
 
Yeah pretty much Trujo. No offence as it is a BEAST. Thanks to everyone with the positive comments. And to Incx, yeah in my opinion, the wenge neck makes a difference. Also the neck has a more comfortable "c" shape rather than my newer models Large, baseball bat like " D " shape. But other than that, all is similar.

It's good to hear you're outta the hospital Pepper.Those places suck,especially at christmas.Look after yourself there mate.Ya only get 1 body so look after it. :wink:
 
Welcome back pep & hope your well. I like the older warwick as well. IMHO better made & better sounding but I know there will be people here that disagree. Buy hey, thats ok too.

Greg, I hope your talking about Zakks teeth of have you been down the pub again???
