In a warwick catologue I had from the 90's (I mentioned this in another thread for those wondering) I had seen a guy with this bass on the back where it showed all the artists and he had this weird bass, it looked to have over 40 frets or something. Even weirder I know some were spaced more than others.

I rememebr searching and getting results. This bass is real and has a name. But I don't remember and I also don't remember the guys name who played it. If anyone could help me out that would be appreciated. I want to be sure I'm not crazy.
 
I've seen it at Markneukirchen. A thumb, right?

That's a just intonation bass made for Hansford Rowe,from Gongzilla.

Those are not in the warwick standard line up. Why would you want one? Get a fretless ... more possibilities that way..... and they are cheaper. :)
 
I have a fretless, I was mostly just curious to see price ranges and such. Not to mention, I like buying things I dont see everday like for example I bought a jerry jones master sitar a few months back. Personally it's made pretty cheaply but it wasn't all that expensive and it sounds pretty cool.

Better than that crappy dan electro sitar swami pedal.
