Aftermarket Jan1 On My 2005 Warwick Bass

Hi guys, see this image:

By the extra space between the nut and the truss rod cover, I can tell this JAN1 was not originally on this 2005 Dolphin Pro1 5.
Besides that the JAN1 is not completely in the right position, it sticks out half a mm on the B string side.

My guess is there originally was a JAN2 (tedur) on this bass...

I have only one question: Will a brass JAN3 fit perfectly in this position without having to relocate the truss rod cover?
 
Is this the new bass? Wasn't it custom made with a brass nut?
 
Yes thought so. But this is nuts, the truss cover is in the standard position for a JAN2 and the JAN is also a wee bit out of the center.
It plays and sounds awesome, but I want everything to be perfect.

Also found out today the machine head for the A string is broken (loose) and only kept in place by the string itself plus the little screw on the back.
Might be just the nut on that, I still have a bunch of old gold hardware from the previous Dolphin so I'll check if another nut will fix that.

These aren't really problems but like I said, I want everything on this bass to be perfect.
 
Confirming this was the culprit and has been replaced.
Bass is 100% okay now, just want a brass jan3 on there.

One bass after the other of my keepers gets Hipshot Ultralite tuners installed.
 
I like the Gotoh ones with the bigger diameter, they make the headstock look just that little bit nicer.

I also prefer Schaller, but Hipshot Ultralite is also nice.

Every of my keepers gets a D-Tuner, cause I really need them in my band for 3 Songs :)

On topic: DiMarco, my Vamp SN looks the same, but I prefer the JAN-1 and I made a downgrade ;)
BTW: The ABM 6240 Webster NUT Bass is the WW JAN 1
