Anyone here a native (or fluent) Afrikaans speaker who also speaks good english?

I've just started learning and it would be a massive help to have someone is annoy the crap out of with a million questions :wink:

I'm almost fluent in Swahili, well I know 2 sentences, but I can teach you them if ya wants.

Afrikaans is actually a variant of Dutch, so swahili is unfortunately no help to Alex...

I wish my dutch was better...

They speak a variant of Dutch in Aruba,
called Papimiento.

I know it has nothing to do with this thread,
but I thought I'd chime in as many times

I dunno about native or fluent but I can muddle my way through a conversation (well, I could if anyone could understand my accent when I try to speak it) so if you still need it and there's anything I can help you with just let me know And if I can't help there's plenty around me who can that I can bug for ya.

From South Africa but left there when i was 10 so my Afrikaans is pretty poor and I would only know bits and pieces of spoken but not written.
