Advice on SS1

Hello old friends!

I've been away from Warwick for a long time (well...I've been playing them every day but not advising people and thinking about Warwicks in general) so my knowledge is a bit rusty.

Seen this Streamer Stage 1 on ebay and the price looks too good to be true.



It has a different preamp obviously but does any look wrong with it? It looks good to me.

Looks like a lovely bass :D I'm not really up to SS1 prices though... so I'm not sure if that's OK, or a steal, or expensive.

Pictures are extra detailed. I think that seller is honest and the price is good because he does not want to wait for buyer/money.

I do not know are you into oldies but I would rather consider this one too

i think it's nice SSI and seller have 100% feedback.
i've seen much lots from him and can't tell something bad about this guy
 
That guy sells tons of Warwicks on ebay.

His prices always seem to be a bit higher than individual for sale ads from what I have seen.

I had an opportunity to buy a similar early 90s SS1 in comparable condition for $1500 but I didn't have the money at the time.

Hi Florin!

Things are going really well :) We're just on a UK tour at the moment with I AM I (Dragonforce's ex lead singers new band). Day three in Manchester today.

Even though the last band, Toxic Federation, was getting quite successful we decided to end that band and start from scratch (long story). New band is called Fahran, still with one of the same guitarists and the same drummer. After six years together we're like family. Were only 6 months or so down the line but we released the debut album on the 15th of this month. It's been getting really good reviews so far :)

How about you Florin? What's been happening with you? I remember your story up till about a year ago :D

Well - I might be your first decent bass ;)
 
my advise would he trying out a bass like that because of the broadneck. some can't handle the wide spacing;)
and on the other side you could love it badly and get rid of your other basses with standart spacing just like me haha.

Good advice Herbie. I've been lucky enough to have played pretty much all Warwick models over the years.




Big day for me. Just paid for the SS1. It's always been my dream bass since I started writing on this forum all those years ago :D

BTW while I'm here. I'm half way through a tour at the moment so if anyone wants to come say Hi were at the Sheffield Corporation on the 25th, Grimsby Yardbirds on the 26th, Newcastle Academy 2 on the 27th and Southampton The Cellar on the 30th (afraid the Brighton gig on the 29th got cancelled).

Hope to see some people. Would be great to say hi!
 
Hey Alex! I just saw this thread and I'm glad you finally got that SS1 you've been wanting. I have also decided to go with 19mm spacing for my second bass that's being built now. I saw that bass too and was considering it but I'm glad one of my old school buddies got it instead. I've been keeping track of your music career and you've turned out to be quite the player / rockstar I thought you would be. Proud of you young man.
