Adjusting your bass

I've done a bit of adjusting on my bass before, but I would like some good tips of what to do and what not to dos.

I try not to mess with my truss rod, but I would like a nice low setup for my corvette. I have done a little bit of adjusting on the truss rod but but it back, or as near to as I remember after reading that that ain't so smart

Yeah, so any tips are welcome!

Hey there,
If you're seeking lower action, I would go for adjusting the saddles at the bridge. Truss rod adjustments help only slightly with getting lower action. But don't be afraid to do adjustments to the truss, just keep the turns small like 1/8th to 1/4th of a turn and then re-check the relief.

from 1st fret to about the 10th fret will be adjusted with the truss rod, above that adjust bridge. but its a give and take kind of thing until you get to know your bass and how it will react to adjustment. I have 2 warwicks both react different to adjustments. thats just the nature of wood, no two necks are the same.
never force anything,,, if something doesn't want to turn or adjust, back off and find out why,
