Probably not. The website and pdf's often have some misinformation going on inside.
Best thing is to ask by e-mail.
 
potentially, but that me subject to confirmation. Once you have a quote done they would filter that stuff out. I agree with DiMarco.
 
Tbh I never understood that swamp ash backside thing. I own one of the basses they made for the Frankfurter Musikmesse 2000, a Streamer Stage 2. Cocobolo top - and swamp ash back. Why always this backside wood for the thicker tops?

yes - it does mean exactly this - why I do not know:-) This has been subject to rants a couple of times over the years :-)

I can only assume it's because chances are the exotic woods people want as a 1" top are sometimes very heavy, so swamp ash would be a slightly lighter option? Imagine for instance, a purpleheart top and bubinga body. That's going to be a heavy instrument! Although probably not a lot heavier than solid bubinga. Or it could be for the contrast aspect, to clearly show the two pieces of wood rather than having it look seamless and unnoticable.

I can only speculate.. I've wondered this too!
