About to get a multi effex

Hi ,
I got fedup from my Basspod Xt pro & sold it , because I didnt like its amp moddeling & fx's , I got Eden amp & cabs , so It cant compare to the pod & the i didnt like the fx....

I'm about to buy a new multi fx , My choises are
1) Boss GT6B
2) Boss ME50B
3) Digitech BNX3
4) Korg Toneworks AX-3000B
5) Zoom B2.1U

I'm mainly will use Wah pedal & envelope filter for funky stuff & chorus/reverb for fretless , some whammy ( rarely ) , Overdrive ( rarely )
I dont care for the compressors ( I have a DBX 160A ) , dont care for the EQ & dont care for amp simul ....

Other option I have is to buy fx pedals separetly , but then I need to buy power supply & looper pedals & a box to put all in , so it will cost at list as much as the multi...(just the looper , box will cost me around 250€)

My Basses are Streamer Stage 1 , Thumb 2006 LTD , Fbass(Fretless) & btb prestige , Eden rig , so I really need quality , I also record a lot to Logic/mac at home

What do u think ?

Anything Boss is where its at. I have a GT6B and its awesome. The ME50B is basically the same pedal.

Ps: the GT6B is fun with a fretless.
 
hallo,

even it´s more expensive you should buy each separate effect-pedal, not a multieffect.

1. a multieffect-processor is always "on" so you won´t ever have the real sound of your bass.

2. much better quality. i have 5 boss-effects and never had any problems. great stuff. i also owned a zoom-multi. didn´t like it at all. (to keep it fair: it was a cheap one)

if you really want a multi-effect i can recommend some stuff made by boss.

yeh boss multi-fx, and fx in general are good.

But if you are after quality, get the effects separately. It'll be a bit more expensive but sound way better imo. But then i generally hate multi-fx and prefer an analogue effect over digital anyday.

I had a Boss ME50B, which was great, but i've since sold it and gone for single effect pedals. It means you can tweak the actual effects you want more to your tastes, and they're easier to use live - i was forever hitting the wrong switches on my multieffects when using them live.
