I bought this bass
It arrived today and I am wondering about the controls. 4 knobs:

a) is single knob bass
b) is single knob treble
c) is single knob volume, with pull to battery-free passive mode
d) is double knob and I don't know what it does. I can hear some kind of subtle difference but it's so subtle that I can't really tell what it does. The knob also has a push-in able top knob. maybe this is a hidden 3rd function, but I can't figure it out.

Any help or speculation would be great!

I'd take really wild guess maybe the push/pull determines which pair of pickups are on? mid controls? blend?

Tap the pickups with a small screwdriver as you operate the switches,that'll show if they operate the coils.

That stacked push/pull 'might' operate a coil tap on the TJ.

As per your signature... I am interested as to how you came to the designation that the bass is a Streamer Stage II :wink:

By definition you could say the pups are 'similar to' a SSII but the main structural definition of a SSII is that it has the hidden neck construction, is it not?

Immaterial really, as you can call it what you like (I'm only jealous as you beat me to it) but it has intrigued me when some people describe Streamers as SSI or SSII and what do people base their decision upon?

IMHO, I would consider the bass a custom SSI because of the maple body & primarily maple neck with thin wenge stripes, and like warwickhunt said, no hidden neck-thru contruction.

+2.It's definatly a CS Steamer stage 1 with alternate pickup routings, pickups & eq & alternate woods.

Thanks guys! I altered my sig to Stage I, you're all right. Great suggestion with tapping the pickups, will try that after work today. A guy on talkbass suggested to wire it vol/vol/vol bass/treble. Great idea, and so is the 5 way switch so I can have 1, 1/2, 1/3, 2, 2/3 and 1/3. No wait!!!! That's 6 positions :? :? Edit, oh and a single coil switch on the mm pickup would be nice too.

Thanks bass bro, yes the neck pickup gets a more traditional sound, making this a very versatile Warwick, adjustment-wise. Unfortunately I don't know how to record into the PC. I got the super gaming sound card from creative but, I guess that won't do.
