Well, First it was the Thumb, forgotten for 8 years in a store warehouse before coming to me; one day, having trouble with string lenght, I discovered it has a 35" scale. Then the Dolphin, Forgotten who knows where for years, before it came to me. Looks never played, has no marks at all, the twisted neck now fixed; then I put in new strings and... it also has a 35" scale.
Is it that common or am I a 35" magnet?
 
Then my all my measure tapes are deffective. And all strings I bought are deffective.
 
Are you measuring nut to tail piece or nut-to-saddle? it should be to the saddle. and strings might cover 34 and 35" scale lengths

That's exactly when I found out about the Thumb's scale length.
No, I'm not measuring from the tail piece, I'm starting at the saddle. I've done extensive research about the complex process of measuring a bass scale before trying it.
Maybe it is a conspiracy of string and measuring tape manufacturers, just to make me look insane to others; and it is a worldwide conspiracy, since some measuring tapes I used sere bought overseas...
Maybe Warwick did make 35" scale NTs once (at least twice).

as tight as they can be (no pun intended...).
 
Well, AFAIK, I have Two WW NT with 35" scale. maybe the scales grew since left factory. Maybe next year they'll have 36". Maybe they came from an alternate reality. Maybe I don't understand the complexities of operating a measuring tape.
Maybe, maybe, maybe... (as ol' miss Joplin used to sing...)
 
Aaaand the point to all this is?
I thought only the ducklord was 35"...

The scale length is twice the nut-to-12th-fret distance.

Or .......

The nut-to-12th-fret distance is half of the scale length.
