3-Way toggle actual versus manual

Does anyone know for sure if the users manual is correct regarding the 3 way toggle switch for the Corvette $$ ?
The manual states the following:
When the switch is in the up position the neck (N) / bridge (B) pick-up is humbucking and routed in series.
When the switch is in the middle position the neck (N) / bridge (B) pick-up is single coil and both routed as humcanceling with each other in single coil.
When the switch is in the down position the neck (N) / bridge (B) pick-up is humbucking and routed in parallel.

I think of the down position as lowest to the floor when I am in a playing position. The down selction in that position is the hottest signal which I was thinking was the series. I was also thinking the up position was closest to a J pickup sound which would be a single coil. The middle position would then be parallel.
Does anyone know for sure?

The manual is right.

You can check the single coil position with a screwdriver, or other metal object. Tap the picup poles, and you will see which are active.

Parallel mode sounds with more lows and treble - a growly sound.
Series mode sounds with more mids. Even a little bit clonky.

Sorry Flo, but I think you're wrong on this one. The lower position is definitely hotter, and that's what you'd expect from serial wiring. So from experience I'd say that lower is serial and upper is parallel. (And the middle position is single coil, but I don't think anybody is arguing about that).

But the final proof is Warwick's own wiring diagram: if you look at the diagram 60014 $$ for the Corvette $$, it says that the upper position is parallel and the lower position is serial.
