Regretful sale. Couple of weeks back I bought a bass off Gumtree, never received it, looks like I'm not going to get my money back. Long story.
As such, I need to sell something to cover my loss, only one I can sell is this one.
Excellent condition. Despite the website, these were actually sold with chrome hardware. This is included in the sale. The previous owner Torvic (great bloke ) bought black hardware and put it on. It now has a brass Just A Nut. It has active/passive push pull, pan, bass/treble cut/boost. The serial number is 3 (3rd year of limited editions) 172 (172 of about 220 four strings made). Non Warwick, reasonable hardcase included in sale price.
Light and well balanced at 8.2lbs.

Definitely never ever ever PAINPal, sorry. Payment only by cash on collection, cleared cheque or cleared bank transfer.

Happy to courier, but you will need to sort it out, insure it and pay for it. Happy to meet up within 80 miles of Wigan at no cost to you.

It appears the PM I slaved over yesterday, has not reached you. I can't find it either, but I know it must be somewhere as it kept flashing up auto saved, or something like that.
Anyway, will take part x, examples as follows.
1. Fender USA Precision, must be white with maple board, plus £300 to me.
2. Dolphin Pro 11, plus £300 to me
3. Fortress Flashback plus £200 to me.
Will listen to other offers as well, although I would obviously prefer a cash sale.
I am not quite asking top dollar for the bass, but it is still a lot of money so I do not expect it to go quickly.
As such Gnermo, if you are that determined to get one, I will put it on hold for you.
My apologies, I did send a pm yesterday but I have obviously cocked that up, perhaps one of the Mods could have a look sometime?
It is of course quite possible I have hit delete instead of send:roll:

Although the object of selling is to get some money back, I am very weak willed and would undoubtedly find some money to put towards a Rick Chris Squires:D

Okay... i would think pay pal would cover people who dont recieve the item.. oh well i guess its a long story!

I have a few mates in the UK... let me consider !

Without going into huge detail, the payment was made before the goods were collected.
The address for collection didn't exist.
There is no money in the account the Paypal money was paid into.
It appears that Paypal will guarantee for goods, but not necessarily payments to a persons account.
I believe the word is scam.
I also have a few mates in the UK, but a bit no go with no address.
I haven't finished with Paypal, the credit card company or the local fraud squad, but I need to go through "the process".
Meanwhile I'm out of pocket, looking stupid and getting some serious matrimonial ear ache!
 
aghh yes the wife... that would not have gone down well. Sorry to hear that mate, i hope it works out for you and sorry to derail your thread. (im sure you will have no problem selling this one)

On a side note, i had a bass for sale, a guy said he will buy it and put 2k pending payment to my paypal, the pending meaning paypal requested i send money to a shipping company and they will release the funds to my account (buyers payment included shipping). All the emails looked really legitimate and had paypal logos and everything,

After calling PayPal, because it was weird, they told me there is no action in my account and there is no payment pending, - they said its a scam and to cease all contact. Buyer went ballistic when i told him to get fuked, but yea, a simple google search was all that was needed.


Anyway, good luck with the sale, ive always wanted to get my hands on this bass!!

Let me know how you get on. Im based near London and have been looking for a bleached blonde to add to my Dirty blonde and SS1. Can come to you on train from London Euston if that works.

Need to raise some cash, so probably wont be until after xmas now, what with kids, family etc.

I have said that I will take part trades but they will need to be something where I get a couple hundred minimum cash and to be honest I will be selective. Even if I am weak and susceptible to pretty bass pictures:D
It's not a great time to sell so doubt it will go anywhere quickly.
I am also sure, if it came to the need, we can sort out something better than you having the expense and time involved getting the train from Euston to Wigan and back.

Still currently here although there are 4 interested parties who need to sell gear.

SLIGHT REDUCTION to £900 collected from Wigan, or £900 and sort out your own courier/insurance, just tell me what day the van will collect:D

You've had two replies now, just clearing my name:D:D and as stated, I will certainly consider at least part trades.
Now, if somebody had a Rick Chris Squires and wanted this plus £1000, I would be in joyous financial trouble:D

To be honest the price isn't hugely over the top IF it was an original Squires signature.
It's not though. TRC, fretboard, colour, scratchplate are all wrong.

Just a reminder, still here, still £900 collected.
If anybody wishes to buy, I am happy with payment by bank transfer, although it usually takes 3 days to clear between Europe and UK.
I am happy for anybody to arrange a courier to collect it, but that cost (including insurance) needs to be met by the buyer please:D
All I would need to know is what day your courier would collect.
I know there are one or two Dirty Blondes up, but the Bleached Blonde seems more rare and I certainly think I have priced it competitively.
Perhaps you lot just prefer Dirty Blondes:lol::lol:
