06 double buck grounding issue
I just bought a lightly used 06 nirvana double buck with active EQ. It looks like it has never been played, a real gem.
I noticed that when I touch my finger to the rear pick up poles while playing, it sounds ungrounded. At higher volumes
the rear pick up hums pretty bad, but the front sounds great. The inside el cavity looks really clean...literally new.
I'm afraid to take it to a local tech.........is there some way to trouble shoot this?
I had this post in customer support but moved it here for some different ideas.
I'v pulled the back open and it all looks really tight. when I touch the eq switches while a note is played they buzz.
It seems to be only in the rear pickup in passive and active mode. The noise when note played lessens when I touch
the bride on both sides together.
I am aware of many other posts on this and many other forums concerning the MEC pickups, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks,
B
