scratch

Not sure if this is the right forum to post in, but here goes nothing... I once decided to be nice and give my $$ to a friend for a gig since she didn't have a bass at that moment. She's a great bassist but she mains picks. So there I see her, banging my 'Wick and when she gave me my bass back...

I tend to be a pretty rough player... and I had my Pickups up kinda high for my style of playing. I've just now realized that I've been scratching my pickups a bit when I play. I have a Corvette Double Buck. My question is... Will this effect the way the instrument sounds at all?

Anyone know how to build this or can point me in the direction of someone who does?

So last time I took steel wool to my frets to clean them, I was so excited to put on new strings and to clean the bass I forgot to tape the board first :oops: The damage wasn't to bad, but there are some scratchs I was wondering if anyone knew how to properly adress...
