    Dense wood mix choices?

    Wondering if any of these would be possible to do... A wenge body? Bubinga, Ovangkol, or Wenge body with an Ebony top? Just wondering... I really like a very hifi sounding bass with ALOT of mids and pop to it... And not much a fan of the lighter woods like maple, alder, or ash.

    The bass that does NOT cut through the mix..................

    So, apparantly Warwicks cut through the mix very well.................but what bass is really bad in cutting through the mix ?? Recording is also very crucial to have the bass stand out of the crowd.................but if you consider only the instrument, what bass is horrible in cutting...
