I just got a set of basslines APJ-1 pickups for my 1991 4 string thumb bass. I was wondering if I could wire them to my existing MEC pre-amp or would it be better to take the MEC electronics out and (with the exception of the input jack) use the basslines electronics/pots that came with the new...
Hey all.
Need some advice on my Taranis...
The MEC's provide everything I need in this bass. It's passive and I love it in both my metal bands. The low B is tighter than most 35" scale boutiques I've played.
BUT I don't love it in my Blues/Classic rock band. Too "in ya face" and no distorted...
just wanted to show you that turkish band called MOR VE ÖTESI (means something like "ultra violet and beyond").
there a song called "Sevda Cicegi" (don't know what that means), but it features some really heavy bass playing. groovy, but solid. and the guitars sound good, too.

Hey guys, Ive posted these clips in the "custom shop" thread "well ive done it", but I thought I'd better put them here as well..
1st clip is my 97 custom shop Thumb NT5 with Factory SD Basslines & SD 3 band preamp all set flat and 0 pan (both pick ups), straight out of the DI of my Tubepath...
I'm thinking of replacing the pickups in my Washburn.. does anyone have experience with both of these pickup brands? I kind of need an A/B comparision..
