    My Thumb 6 is a little to bright sounding for me. I have been playing DR hi-beams for a while now and I want to switch to a darker sounding string.     Fretless: Round Wound or Flatwound Strings

    I'm thinking about getting the Corvette 4 fretless. I would like to know what string would sound better, the roundwound or the flatwound. Would the roundwound damage the neck?
