I have a really weird IC in my Warwick. Has anybody ever seen one of these? Any ideas on what it could be? Bigger photo, 3 MB This thing is hooked up on a set of J-type EMG's. Am I correct that EMG's don't need an extra IC, would it be better to get this thing out of my signal chain?

I just noticed today that alder wasn't in the body wood options for a custom shop bass. Why??? Alder is certainly the most common wood used for basses bodies (along with ash). Maybe they don't have it because it's a wood that grows almost exclusively in the USA, but I'm too sure that is the...

Not sure where to put it. Does anyone else find it terribly uncomfortable to play with a shirt on? The strap gets my shirt all lopsided and I just prefer to play shirtless. Any other people like that?
