standards

I just bought a Corvette standard yesterday...and i'm thinking to myself can i get this thing with a 3 band eq? because if so i'd mean i can use anyones amp and get what ever kinda tone i want out of it and such...and i was wondering is that an option because if so i'd rather return this bass...
