splitting

anyone knows which coils work in each pickup in single coil mode on Corvette and Streamer $$ ? Are these the bridge coil in the bridge pickup and the neck coil in the neck pickup? I think that would make most sense...

when you choose the pickups in $$ to work in a single-coil mode, which halves of the humbuckers are working? I wish they are the far ones (I mean far from each other - the one nearest to the bridge and the one nearest to the neck), but is that the case here?

Just bought this 2003 corvette standard for 550 bucks. Upon receiving, I noticed this small gap in the wood at the bottom of the bass where the wood seems to be splitting apart. It is right where the two pieces of the body come together, they have drifted apart. There is no glue in the gap...
