I've tried setting up my thumb myself after letting someone do it and them leaving me with a completely flat neck--no relief whatsoever. So, I set the relief to what the manual said and lowered the bridge leaving me with the amount of space the manual said should be between the e and g strings...

Is it possible to obtain replacement PUP covers for the MEC J type (gold) in the UK? I know its a bad habit but my tendency to use the neck pup as a 'thumb rest' wears them down quite quickly. Cheers, Mart

are the pups the same width / lenght as on 4 string? need to order some, but can't find more info on MEC's site... and if somebody could tell me the exact type of preamp that goes with them, i'd love this place even more! any help appreciated, cheers, zoran
