oiling

OK so lemon oil is pretty much a generally accepted for use on fretboards, myself included. I noticed that when i oil the fretboard i'll wipe the cloth on the back of the neck as well as i really like the feel it gives the neck. As the neck is ovangkol, and my thumb is ovangkol...was...

1 week? 2 weeks? more...? I'm imagining that drying the oil takes more than 1 or 2 days... After cleaning up the hardware and fretboard and installing a JAN1 and new electornics, I'm debating refinishing my SS2 after doing some searches and seeing so many great results of people refinishing...
