Hi guys! I just got a 97 vette and after removing the strings, I have noticed that if I slide my finger over the frets (mostly from fret 2 to 8 ) I can notice it´s not even. I can feel the gap a bit, more on E and A strings and if I play there I can hear some fret buzz. The bass is not set...

May be a „cheap trick“ but helps checking the distance between frets and strings: Of course you can use an old ruler left from school. But however the zero is not where it should. Additionally this is no an exact method, especially after heavy gigs :? My proposal is to use on of those...
