Riddle me this... Why do the tailpieces of different models vary in distance to the bridge? My (ex) Thumb and Corvette tailpieces are pretty close to the bridge, letting me use most any tapered string set out there. The Infinity SN is a little further back, reducing the choices of strings a bit...
