jointing

As seen in the photos, the joint of the extension of the neck with the body mismatch, protrudes approximately 1mm on both sides! It is something to worry about? This is due to moisture? What shall I do? some kind of sanding work? I think I have seen this before here, any suggestions? I am sure...
