gate or compressor

in the near future i'm going to need 4 channels of gating/compression (and peak limiting would be nice) to sort out the vocals for live gigs. im thinking about the 1U 2 channel sort so i only need to buy two. they dont need to be really sophisticated. any ideas/suggestions/experiences? the...
