distorted

I have had a Warwick Thumb 5 NT for about 2 months. It's been great, but then all of a sudden it's started to make a really bad noise, like distortion. I've change the battery twice but the problem still remains. It's unplayable. Has anyone had the same issue and offer advice on how to solve...
