capacitors

So I have an old Fender Musicmaster Bass, and I read that one of the capacitors in the electronics shelves off certain high frequencys. Would anyone have any idea how to rewire the circuit to bypass that capacitor. P.S I am almost certain they do it because the pickup they use in the...
