Read on another thread about how people don't like to boil strings because of rust forming inside the string over time and causing string breaks or just bad sound all together...well lets get the water out of the strings..
anyone who uses round wound Rotosound strings will know about the rust...
So I've never had good results w/ boiling strings until now:
Dead DR Longnecks boiled for ten minutes w/ a few drops of Dawn dish washing liquid. WOW, like new and heller bright again!
This is the first time I've boiled DR's and the first time I've used a detergent, but one or the other...
