balancing

Hello people, i need some info about something that's been bugging me for some time. I now seem to have some problems balancing my bass guitar, and when i'm playing i'm feeling really unconfortable. I think it's about the strap i use, it's a DUNLOP, but it seems it's not capable to do the job...
