Came across this very interesting vid about the copycats on the mighty YooToob
and want to share it with yous. They are seemingly good sounding overall!

But personally I refuse to buy either Behringer or Mooer gear for the fact they are stealing
intellectual property at a large scale. I can imagine however when you don't have a lot of money available
to fill your pedalboards with you might feel different. How do you feel about brands like these?

    Very interesting subject, Marco.

I have mixed feelings about this, because I do think stealing intellectual work the way some big and massive companies like Mooer and Behringer do, could not be acceptable.

EHX just won a legal battle against Mooer. They, Mooer, were smart enough to even steal the "copyright notice" text from EHX pedal's software, brilliant, uh?

The other side of my feelings on this is I don't see myself paying big money for some "classic" pedals, so investing less than 50€ on a copy that sounds pretty close to the original looks very attractive to me if I want to check it out.

That said, right now I think we are witnessing a huge pedal industry bubble that is gonna blow anytime soon. I mean, how many more copy-of-a-copy of any single pedal or effect could be made? (Anyway, think this is a subject for another thread)

He even prefers the copy of the Ibanez compressor. But what I think too: who the hell buys all those pedals which are thrown on the market every day?

It’s like the craft beer industry here in the United States- so many similar brews with different outlandish names like all these pedals.

    And the Bass Guitar
I've been playing 30 and a bit years
    Probably owned 15-18 instruments
    Only bought 2 new

    Amps would have had 10-12
    Bought 1 new

I stand to be corrected but my understanding is not all Countries are in agreeance with what is Copyright.

Therefore it becomes an even murkier thang

For me the current body count is 9 basses and 13 guitars over 36 odd (more appropriate for me) years. Seven new.

Out of them, all remain except for five guitars.

Amps? Main amps, bass and guitar, (not practice)- 4 Two new.

    I... have lost count.

Back on topic I own several Harley Benton pedal powersupplies (Thomann's cheap house brand) and they are REALLY good.

Thinking of throwing together a cheap as possible copy of my pedalboard and see how they compare.
