Didn't even realise it was 5 years since the last post! Oops. Getting carried away with checking out the whole forum I'm guess... I may well become addicted, so apologies for that!
    Ohh Lego bass? Cool!

I only had two basses before I bought my first Warwick. I still have one of them:

-Peavey Fury 4 string (p bass config)
-Ibanez 5 string of some kind

I didn't know much about gear when I owned these, but oh well. They got me by :)

Ibanez SDGR 300 something... Will be for sale soon. Nice bass for starters. Great looks and decent sound from a double Humbucker. It was my first bass, before I took playing bass more seriously and was ready to invest more money.
Then Modulus VJ4. Great bass, got it in almost pristine condition for a ridiculously low price off ebay. Still use it, especially for alternate tunings. The composite neck handles different string tension without problems.

Well my first bass was a thumb NT (on 2000's) but before I used to play cello and double bass, the brand is called Greko. They're great here in Colombia but I don't know if they're worldwide known.

I originally started out on an Applause P/J 4 string for two years until I found a used Ibanez Roadstar 5 string at the local store. That worked until two more years later when I took the bass into the shop to have it set up. They found out that the trussrod was maxed out, and wouldn't budge. So, I traded it in, and looked for a new bass. At the time, the shop easily had 10-12 Warwicks on the floor, but the salesperson showed me a used '96 Corvette Std. that the original owner had dropped EMG active pickups in. I put my trade-in as a downpayment, and paid it off over the course of a month at work. I've had that bass ever since.

Here are all the basses I owned before getting my 3 current Warwick's. Been through a bit of everything, but rarely did anything last longer than maybe 6-9 months. The majority of these were only over the last maybe 4 years or so. The Ibanez SR400/410/whatever was my first bass, then came the MIM fender Jazz and OLP MM3. I used those three for many years before getting into the swing of buying/selling/trading through all of the other basses.

    Build your own ... way2go ! ! !

I had/have lotsa lotsa basses b4 Wicks and with Wicks. I
guess The One that would particularly precede/anticipate
my getting into Wicks would be my Spector. It was built
75 miles from where I live, and has a lifetime warrantee,
as I'm the original owner. Only thing is, I don't know if
that means my lifetime, Stuart's lifetime, or the bass's
lifetime. I'm getting kinda old, but Stu is way older ....

My main bass just before my first Warwick was a PJ Fender. Good bass, I still have it.
Funny, I can't remember the brand of my first bass... It was a P bass, it was black, it had 4 strings, and it sounded like a bass, and that's all I cared about at the time.
