Hi everyone! At the moment I'm looking at upgrading my current bass amp (Fender Rumble 1x15) and as the title says I'm looking for any opinions you guys might have on the Warwick Wamp 280!
There's one for sale not too far from me for €360 although I could probably bargain down further.
Included is the Warwick Wamp 280 head, a Warwick 4x10 cab (unsure of the model), Warwick carry case for the head and a footswitch.
This seems like a pretty good deal but there is very little info on these amps online which makes me kind of skeptical! I've attached pics of the gear in question!
Anyways, all advice and opinions are greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

I would not consider this an upgrade but rather a change of flavor.

The older Warwick 4x10 cabs aren't very popular (not a lot of decibels per watt) and usually go for very low prices. I also find a Wamp pretty underwhelming to be honest.

    Is 360 euro the limit?

I have one, used it on a ton of gigs and quite dig it.
Does what it's supposed to, not too fancy and it's quite reliable.

All depends on what you're used too I guess.

    Hi Buddy,
Warwick never built a really bad amp. I think it is somehow in the same class as the new Warwick amps, surprising good sound for the money. It is an old German made amp, at 250 W it is not the loudest amp. IMHO the only drawback is the size and low wattage. Perfect for rehearsals and small stages though, good reliable amp.

Depends. Is that 250w RMS or peak? Also, how efficient are the cabs? When using my Barefaced 2x12 (103db @ 1 watt) a 250 watt amp is adequate. Same amp with a more budget cab wouldn't cut it.
