I have a Warwick Streamer LX German for sale and someone said that they weren't able to verify the serial number on the Warwick site. I also tried but to no avail. This piece is so genuine in every way-detail, fitment, weight, lettering, etc., that I can't believe it could be fake. Does anyone here have experience with this or could point me in the right direction?
I appreciate any assistance with this as I most certainly do not want to sell a fake.
    Thank you
    Steve

Hi Steve, Welcome to the forum!

I think it might also help to upload some photos of the rest of the bass :)

Here is the page where you can check the serial number yourself, not the texts also on the right of the page: www.warwick.de/en/Warwick---Support--Serial-Number.html

(PS: I moved your thread here as you were asking about authenticity, and not yet offering it for sale)

I guess it is not an german made bass, instead it is made in Korea. Korean Serial numbers are not available at the sn search on the ww website.

    WPS are Made in Korea.
    GPS are Made in germany
ProLine was first MiG later MiK, than again german as Standard Series

Oh, ok. Thanks for moving it. I uploaded several pics but only one showed up. I'll try again here.

    Hi Steve,

From the Serial Number, it is a Korean Pro Series. It is not fake, it is just not German made. The main difference is the maple neck (german ones have wenge or ovankol), so it sounds different. Good luck with the sale.

So it very well could be genuine but just Korean.? I’m wondering if someone might’ve put on the cover pictured here that says made in Germany.

Well, you can't ask very much for your bass, what with an expired 9v battery.....

    Just joking.. :D

    Hello,

That looks like a Made in Korea WPS (Warwick Pro Series) Streamer LX.

Not fake, just made in Asia.

Not the same Steve Howe but I wish I had his talent.
I looked in the battery compartment and can't find any markings. So I'm gathering that it's Korean.
    Thank you all so much.

That's NOT a fake, and it is a really nice bass, I know when I first tested them. And I like the fact that it is not just the same bass but made in Korea, the maple neck makes this bass different than the German ones, you might even like it more.
