The wooden side panels have disappeared...
What do you think about the new look? I think it is an improvement.

The important fact is the better usability. The knobs are now protected.

I liked the wood. Like this it looks "non warwicky".
For 600€ I'll still take the Peavey MiniMEGA. Better EQ IMO as it's parametric.
Unless Warwick changed their ways and allow now the A+B channel in parrallel. :)

I used them in parallel a lot :)
Darkkglass Electronics B7k has a "parallel output" for a clean signal, so I used to send it to the A channel, and the dirty output to the B channel.
I don't know about the Peavey amp, but this one really, really sounds good :)
The EQ is decent, the frequencies fairly chosen. More than decent onboard compression, which is rare. Also when active, the compression acts as a "growl booster", it adds some cool extra growly high mids. At one point I left my Hellborg pre home, and used only LWA1000 :)

Can it handle a 2ohms load?

Yes, but it's not "parrallel" inside. Now it won't go down to 2Ohms.
I wanted to get one. The review of the Peavey convinced me, but as it's peavey, it' poorly distributed, with a reputation for small budget, and you can't find them used.
    Bah.
I'll wait for DiMarco to get tired of his Mesa+8x8 combination so I can get the Mesa. :)

The Trace can handle 2ohms so if that amp gets back in perfect shape I still might get rid of the Mesa at some point.
You know me... I sell gear as easy as I buy it. :)

Ha. Finally bit the bullet and bought the LWA1000.
A/ Because Florin said it was Good
B/Because I tried it and knew what to expect
C/and It was cheaper than the Minimega.

I praise the high portability of the head. I bought the lil' bag to keep it safe. Like a Soft rack :)
The tone is wayyyy better than in my memories at BassCamp, probably because the Markbass cabs are better than the Warwick ones. It's way less woofy, but still wooly. I maintaine it has an "ampeg" kinda vibe.
I used it live and in rehearsal. The rest of the band immediately loved it. In rehearsal, we have a Aguilar TH500 which is very MEH to me (the Dolphin 5 sounds wonderful, the rest of my basses just blah). The sound was overall a lot clearer and defined. I'm musing'round with the switch for now, but will probably find a way get it work A/B/A+B. Even if I have to bring it to my Amp Tech.
