Hi guys,

Just browsing eBay last night, and found this little beauty, so I slapped a bid on it for fun.

Woke up this morning to find I won the auction!

The amp's in Germany, and I'm in Australia :d ...Shipping will only be 32 Euro, so that's cool.

I know nothing about this combo except that it looks damn cool!

Does anyone know anything about these combos?

Thanks Florin - I found that link, but wasn't sure as it mentioned 4x12"?

So - it's a WAMP 150 head in a combo format with a single 15"?

;)

I can't wait!

It looks so cool - a piece of Warwick history

I'm so sad - it's a tragedy!

:(

The eBay page said shipping would be 32 Euro via DHL to Ausralia (OK...yes I did think it was cheap, but hey - a quote's a quote).

But the seller just got back to me and said it was a mistake...:( He wants 114 Euro for shipping. I can't pay that much, so he'll have to do a second chance offer to the next highest bidder.

Alas - my WAMP 150 wasn't to be!

:(

...oh well...back to eBay for the next bargain.

I really thought I had a piece of very cool Warwick memorabilia there for a minute!

...There's a six string Proline on eBay US that looks pretty cheap!

....mmmmmm should I?

Hello everybody....

To my pleasure...
I am the next highest bidder. :d

This is my second Amp of this Type.
The first i´ve shot at ebay was only the Box whitout Amp.
So I put a Profet 3.2 into it.

Now I have the Original. :d

The Shipping costs are realy 114€ to Australia. 32€ is for Europe and max. 20 kg.

Greetings
André

Need information on WAMP 150

Hi there!

Has anyone got some information (manuals, specs, wiring, etc.) on the WAMP 150 combo? I've just bought a used one without any documents. It would be very helpful if anyone could send me a copy of the material as a can't find anything about this combo on the warwick support-site.

Thanks a lot, Peter.

Hi Florin,

thanks a lot for your reply! The Wamp 200 seems to be very similar to the Wamp 150. But what's about the Line-In-socket? Is it for plugging in from a different preamp, so that the Wamp 150 works as an active subwoofer? What kind of signal may be sent to the Line-In-socket? Is that signal affected by the gain-control?

And another question: On the rear the Wamp 150 has two sockets to connect speakers. On one socket the internal 15"-speaker is connected. The advice on the rear says that the minimum impedance should be 4 ohms. Is that the minimum for each speaker connected to the amp head 150 or is it the minimum both connected speakers should have in addition? As an example: is it ok driving the internal 15" speaker (measured about 5 ohm) in combination with an external box having 8 ohm? If both outputs are only paralleled, then the resulting impedance would be about 3 ohm!

It would be very nice if you could give me some information on my questions.

So, have a nice day and thanks for your work.

Peter.

Hey Peter,
The line-in-socket is another input, which is directly connected to the Poweramp.
When plugging in a ¼”-Jack in, the normal signal path is interrupted and the
signal connected to the line in is directly forwarded to the power amp.
You cannot adjust that signal with the Wamp front control.

the minimum impedance connected to the amplifier should not be lower than 4 Ohms.
If you are connecting another 4- or 8-ohm-box to the Wamp, you have to disconnect
the internal speaker.
You may connect two 8-ohm speakerboxes to the Wamp. This will set the impedance to
4 ohms.
