Hey everyone,

As you know, I don’t know anything about the inerdz of a bass.

Anyway,

I have a volume knob that does not turn on my bass. I’ve put a new preamp into the bass so that means I have a stacked pot that I’m not using.

I don’t know anything about electronics etc, so could I use that spare stacked pot as a volume pot??

Or do volume pots have some kind of specialness about them that I don’t know about.

Kind regards,

Do't get the question 100%

"I have a volume knob that does not turn on my bass" 1. does not turn (damaged?) 2. does not turn on (damaged?) 3. does not turn on ( :) )

is it still installed?

stacked pot is not stacked pot.

If the stacked pot you have was for treble, bass it is 100k/100k for vol for passive PUs 500k/220k/220k for active pus 500k/25k/25k (different impedance for blend on active and passive)

The stacked are always like 2 separate pots on top of each other.
Push pull on a vol is used to bybass the pre meaning it is wired that the signal goes from PU to vol/blend and then directly to the jack
when pulled.
Push Pull on 100k/100k usually is used for coil splitting.

Hope this helps

Cheers man.

Well the volume pot dose not turn. I have volume so I think it's stuck in the middle-full area. It's completely stuck. So basically I'd like to know if I HAVE to buy a new volume pot from warwick or if the stacked pot would do the trick..

The stacked was bass/treble.

So if I'm understanding correctly, I won't be able to use the stacked as a volume :( as I need 500k volume and the stacked is 100k

Actually, I don't understand...

:)

Hello there,

I don´t know that much about about electronics, but I think that if the stacked knob was for EQ, bass/trebble, with center detent, it would not work as a volume knob.

Remember a Volume knob usually goes from - to line level, and an EQ knobs work as cut/boost, +/- 12dB or something. That´s why I say I don´t think it would work.
